Hello fellow Innovators of Risk!
It has been quite a while since my last post.
The Innovation of Risk has not disappeared but rather has gone into a period of “thinking”.
During this period of thinking I have come to the simple conclusion that change doesn’t come from waiting but rather from participating. It is not just about leadership, this helps, but rather about embracing the best of everything around you and within you.
Case in point, the video below is not just about the leader but the fast followers. For what starts as one lone nut can so easily turn into a fun, exciting and passionate group of people either achieving a goal or just enjoying the moment.
The easiest thing to do in a role such as risk management is embrace your role as someone thinking about the negative implications or possibilities, but actually your role in risk management is quite the opposite, it is about embracing the positive elements of people, of ideas and of actions and making them happen.
So, what does this mean for the innovation of risk? Quite simply, it is time for someone to be that dancing guy and it is really time for others to be fast followers. I don’t care which one I am but rather I care about the fact that we all change the way we think.
So, lets start with a few videos to spark your minds into innovating thinking. The following videos are all from a band called Ok Go. I am not going to tell you why I have selected these videos but rather I want YOU to think why and then tell everyone else. Perhaps start by telling others through this site. If not, tell people through your words and your actions.
So what do you think?
Let me finish with I am heading on a journey where the visualisation of a future which is different, more empowering, more exciting and so much more fun and that is what will drive me to make the innovation of risk something really special and ultimately memorable.
Stay tuned for so much more!
